Connecting through video chat is a great way to engage with scientists and build your network across the globe. Our video chat room gives you the opportunity to meet with potential collaborators, supervisors, mentors, employers, students, and employees.
How the chat room works:
- Below you can find a series of established scientists, professors, mentors and employers in the field of ecology who have registered to host a chat room with early career scientists and students.
- If you would like to register to host a chat room, please email us HERE
- As an early career scientist/student looking to build your network, research the scientists available to chat and choose which chat rooms you would like to join.
- Sign up for a 15 minute time slot in the chat rooms that you're interested in.
- Join the chats with questions prepared in order to maintain the conversation. Briefly explain your research and areas of interest (preparing an elevator pitch would be a good idea), and express what your next steps as a scientist might look like.
- For the safety of all presenters and participants, chat rooms will be formally moderated to ensure our Code of Conduct is upheld at all times.
